Interventional Cardiologist

Dr. Tamiruddin A. Danwade is a highly accomplished interventional cardiologist with extensive experience in complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease interventions, advanced heart failure management, and cardiac transplantation. Currently serving as the Head of the Cardiology Department at NewEra Hospital in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Dr. Danwade has established himself as a leading expert in the field.

With an impressive educational background, Dr. Danwade holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from B J Medical College, Pune. He further pursued his postgraduate education, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Internal Medicine from Grant Medical College, Mumbai. Dr. Danwade completed his specialization in cardiology with a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Cardiology from the CARE Group of Hospitals in Hyderabad. Additionally, he has received training and certification from the USA with the Fellow of Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).

Throughout his 15 years of practice as an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Danwade has honed his skills in a wide range of cardiac procedures. His expertise includes performing complex coronary interventions, such as bifurcation angioplasties, left main vessel angioplasties, rota-ablation, and interventions guided by intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). He is also proficient in structural heart disease interventions, particularly transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and balloon mitral valvuloplasty (BMV).

In the realm of advanced heart failure management, Dr. Danwade excels in conducting thorough evaluations for cardiac transplantation candidacy and implementing appropriate treatment strategies. He is skilled in device implantation procedures, including permanent pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (AICD), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices.

Prior to his current role at NewEra Hospital, Dr. Danwade held senior consultant positions at reputable healthcare institutions such as Reliance Hospital and Apollo Hospital in Navi Mumbai. In these roles, he was responsible for overseeing emergency and elective cardiology procedures, managing critical cardiology patients in intensive care units (ICUs), and actively participating in hospital administration tasks, including accreditation processes such as Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation.

With his wealth of experience, comprehensive skill set, and dedication to patient care, Dr. Tamiruddin A. Danwade continues to make significant contributions to the field of interventional cardiology and cardiac healthcare in Navi Mumbai and beyond.
